Receive the message "The application could not validate the license" even though the license number is valid

Issue:

If you receive the message "The application could not validate the license" and you know that the license number is valid, then the software may not have been properly registered and activated the first time you used it. The following software versions are affected:

  • Xfmea (all versions up to 1.0.5)

Solution:

To address the problem:

  • Re-install Xfmea (using the full product installation that you downloaded from the Web or received from ReliaSoft on CD-ROM).
  • Re-enter the license number.
  • Complete the registration/activation procedure (which requires an activation code that can be obtained via the Internet or from ReliaSoft).

If this does not correct the problem, please contact ReliaSoft Technical Support. Be prepared to provide your license number so that the Support representative can confirm its validity.
